1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using LaunchMate ("the platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. What LaunchMate is

LaunchMate is a community platform for sharing startup ideas, collecting feedback, and connecting creators with builders. It is not a marketplace, investment platform, or legal entity for any ideas posted here.

3. Accounts

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use LaunchMate.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • You may not share your account with others or create accounts for malicious purposes.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. User content

You retain ownership of any ideas, comments, or content you post on LaunchMate. By posting content, you grant LaunchMate a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute that content on the platform.

You agree not to post content that:

  • Is unlawful, abusive, harassing, or defamatory.
  • Infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Contains spam, malware, or deceptive information.
  • Violates the privacy of others.

5. Intellectual property

Ideas posted on LaunchMate are not protected by filing them here. LaunchMate makes no claim over your ideas. You are responsible for protecting your own intellectual property through appropriate legal channels if needed.

6. Pledges and payments

Pledges made on idea pages are expressions of interest only — they do not constitute a purchase, contract, or guarantee that a product will be built or delivered. Pledge payments are processed by Stripe. Refund eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

LaunchMate is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information on it is accurate or complete.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LaunchMate shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
